Your Apartment: You can do it in your apartment. S.B. doesn’t need a lot of room. Show is usually done in living room. Move coffee table out of the way. SB stands at one end of the room, and the kids sit on the floor. Children don’t take up much room sitting together on the floor. After the show, put a plastic sheet on carpet and a paper tablecloth over that, and children sit on the perimeter of the paper - in the same spot they sat for the show.

School: Ask the school if they would allow parties in the building after school, or even during school.

Health Club/Community Room: If you or a friend lives in a high rise with a pool/health club or community room on the roof, these are often available for rent or reservation.

Familiar Restaurant: Ask at restaurants in the neighborhood or ones that you frequent. Often they hadn’t thought of it before, and they are slow from 2-5 pm anyway. They usually won’t charge for “renting” the room, only for the food eaten.

Private Club: (i.e. New York Athletic Club)

Outdoors in the Park: Central Park, Riverside, Carl Schurtz.
